In the 2021-2022 season, 9 students were members of Team 2010. The game during this season was FIRST Rapid React, the goal of this game was to collect and score alliance cargo into the hub then race to engage with the hangar. The team traveled to Cleveland for the Buckeye Regional and Alabama for the Rocket City Regional.
At the Buckeye Regional, the team placed 16th overall with a record of 5-4-0. At the Buckeye Regional, the Lightning Bots took home the Entrepreneurship Award.
At the Rocket City Regional, the team placed 16th overall with a record of 7-3-0. At the Rocket City Regional, the Lightning Bots took home the Entrepreneurship Award. This made team history as it was the first time the team took home an award at both attended competitions.
